Pickens Country Club, located in the Upstate of South Carolina, opened in 1954 with nine holes and added a second Willie B. Lewis designed nine in 1958. Now in existence for over 50 years, this family oriented club is one of the friendliest around. In addition to golf, the club also offers swimming facilities.
The par-72, 6,220-yard course at Pickens Country Club features a mature, traditional layout that brings water into play on only a couple of holes. Set in rolling terrain, the layout is bordered by woods on some holes. The majority of the fairways are defined by evergreens and hardwoods. The Bermuda fairways and Bentgrass greens are coupled with strategically placed sand and grass bunkers that will challenge players of all skill levels. Keeping your tee shot in the fairway is a must when the rough is grown up, and the small, undulating greens require precise shot making on approach.
At Pickens Country Club, you won’t encounter tricks or gimmicks, just a straightforward layout with majestically sweeping fairways that will give you an enjoyable round you will not soon forget.
